Training & Resources
Alongside our education programmes, Jamma Wellbeing provides training and learning opportunities directly to partner organisations. Sustainable change requires more than a single intervention. It requires people within organisations and communities who are equipped to keep that change alive.
Mental Health Ambassador Training
The Mental Health Ambassador (MHA) programme is one of the most powerful things to come out of our work, and its impact extends far beyond any single programme or setting.
Through MHA training, individuals who have completed the Brain Smart® Educational Programme go on to become qualified peer mentors within their own environment. They gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to support others, creating a ripple effect of understanding within the communities and organisations they are part of.
Jamma Wellbeing supports organisations and communities to develop their own Mental Health Ambassadors through a structured, sector-leading Train the Trainer model. Over time, this builds genuine internal capacity so that wellbeing knowledge becomes embedded in the culture of an organisation, rather than depending on external delivery for every session. The training is practical, accessible and built on the same plain-language principles as everything else we do.
Brain smart® training helped by giving me a map to follow and by following the process I can have more helpful and positive outcomes to situations in the future, which will help me and others.
Information Sessions & Forums
Understanding is a continuous process. Jamma Wellbeing runs information sessions and forums that bring together people from across our programmes, partner organisations and communities to share learning, ask questions and deepen their understanding of brain-based wellbeing.
These are not lectures. They are spaces for genuine dialogue, where practitioners, participants and partners can learn from each other as much as from us. Topics range from the latest thinking on brain function and behaviour to practical discussions about applying wellbeing knowledge in specific settings.
Whether you work in a prison, a school or a community organisation, or have a personal interest in understanding your own mental health, these sessions offer something of value.
Downloadable Resources
A growing library of resources to support wellbeing, understanding and behavioural change, free to access for individuals, practitioners and organisations.
Our downloadable resources have been developed alongside our programmes and reflect the same plain-language, brain-based approach. They are designed to be used independently or alongside formal training, covering topics including understanding emotions, managing stress responses and supporting others. Resources are updated regularly as our programmes develop and our evidence base grows.
